Columns for Purification and Enrichment of Aflatoxin M1 from Milk for Official Methods of Analysis
The AflaPure™ M1 Aflatoxin Column Kit and the AflaPure™ M1 Aflatoxin Rapid Column Kit contain immunoaffinity columns for the convenient purification and enrichment of aflatoxin M1 from milk samples for downstream HPLC analysis or direct fluorescence detection. Both the AflaPure M1 Aflatoxin Column Kit and the AflaPure M1 Aflatoxin Rapid Column Kit are compatible with the official M1 methods of analysis. The enriched samples are suitable for subsequent analysis by HPLC or direct fluorescence detection. Each column is disposable and should only be used once.
The AflaPure aflatoxin M1 immunoaffinity columns use a simple procedure to enrich aflatoxin from milk samples. A defatted milk sample is passed through the column to bind the aflatoxin. After washing the column, the aflatoxin is eluted using methanol.
Aflatoxin M1 is a naturally occurring fungal toxin sometimes present in milk samples. Contamination of milk with aflatoxin can cause a variety of illnesses including liver cancer.

The AflaPure M1 Aflatoxin Column Kits each contain 25 columns. Store the kit at room temperature (4°C). The shelf life is 18 months when the kit is properly stored.
