Trovan ID162VB/1.4 microchips are supplied in a pre-sterilised, disposable single-piece implanter for ease of use. Measuring just 8 mm long and 1.4 mm in diameter, smaller than a grain of rice, the transponder is one of the smallest implantable animal microchips available.

Why Microchip Technology Matters
Successful animal identification depends on more than simply having a microchip present. Read range, read area and read speed all influence how readily an implanted chip can be detected during scanning. Reliability is also influenced by how a microchip is constructed.
